In the Wobrécken district of Esch-sur-Alzette, between Grande-Duchesse Charlotte and Winston-Churchill boulevards, the Generatiounscampus Wobrécken opened in May 2024: a campus with an elementary school for approximately 300 to 360 students, a maison relais (out-of-school care), a daycare center for 40 toddlers, a sports hall, and a care center with 130 rooms for elder care organization Elysis. The building is constructed of wood and built according to passive house principles.

Between 150 and 200 trees already growing on the site had to make way for the construction. At the time, the municipality of Esch-sur-Alzette announced that it would compensate for the trees with new planting along Grande-Duchesse Charlotte Boulevard, as part of the redevelopment of the site.

Van den Berk Nurseries supplied 53 trees of three species for this replanting. Amelanchier arborea 'Robin Hill' (downy serviceberry), 11 specimens in size 20-25 standard: a small tree with white-pink blossoms in spring and yellow to red fall color. Acer campestre 'Elsrijk' (field maple), 7 specimens in size 20-25 and 24 specimens in size 35-40 standard: a compact tree with a dense, oval to broadly conical crown, highly resistant to paving and urban conditions. Gleditsia triacanthos 'Sunburst' (golden yellow honey locust), 11 specimens in size 35-40 standard: a thornless cultivar with a light, open crown and golden yellow spring foliage.
