Graceful medium-size tree with round crown shaped by pendulous branches. Grows to approx. 10 m tall and wide. The young twigs have grey-white felt-like hair. The hair disappears later leaving brown branches. The simple leaves are narrow ovate to elongated and taper to a point at the base and tip. On emerging the leaf also has felt-like hair. Later it becomes glossy dark green. In May the approx. 1 cm white flowers open in 10 cm corymbs. They are followed by oval, glossy yellow fruits. Graceful, healthy tree for parks and wide green borders.
