Pyrus communis 'Peradel' Pyrus communis 'Peradel'

PERADEL is a strong-growing pear tree with a pyramidal, semi-open crown of 6-8 m in height. The stem branches grow steeply upwards. The tree flowers with white blossoms around mid-April. PERADEL is not self-pollinating, which means that a tree of another pear variety should be nearby for good fruiting. Preferably, 'Doyenné du Comice' or 'Williams' is used for this purpose. PERADEL pears are medium to large and relatively wide. The skin is pale green with a bronze to pinkish blush. The flesh is meltingly soft, aromatic and tastes pleasantly sweet. The pears are ready for picking from mid-September to early October. PERADEL is a hand pear, suitable for direct consumption or storage.
PERADEL is a French cultivar. The tree generally produces a lot of fruit and has no rotation years, guaranteeing annual production. Hardiness zone 5b.
