ANGELENO is a plum tree with a semi-open crown of 6-8 m in height. The crown is round and slightly irregular in shape. White-pink flowers open in April. ANGELENO is not entirely self-pollinating, which means that a tree of another plum variety should not be nearby for good fruiting, although this will lead to higher production. ANGELENO's plums are large, flattened to almost round and deep purple to violet in colour. The flesh is orange-yellow, very juicy and the plums taste sweet. They are suitable for both immediate consumption and storage. The plums are ready for picking in the second half of August. The fruit has alternating years, so annual rich fruiting is not guaranteed. ANGELENO is an Italian plum variety. Hardiness zone 6
