Magnolia ×soulangeana 'Satisfaction', is a new cultivar within soulangeana. Its beautiful compact growth habit makes it an excellent choice for smaller gardens. The bicoloured bowl-shaped flowers that appear in April/May are deep pink outside and the inside is creamy white. Due to its later flowering, it is less likely to suffer frost damage than, for example, the stellata cultivars and will also bloom longer. The leaves are ovate to elliptical, mid-green. This magnolia does best in well-drained neutral to acidic soil. Hardiness: Zone 8b
