The station square in Apeldoorn, designed by Lodewijk Baljon, was awarded the Dutch Design Award for public spaces in 2008. The pine trees on the square were planted in 2006. They fit in very well with the beautiful, futuristic paving. Van den Berk Nurseries supplied 50 Pinus sylvestris in the sizes 50-60 and 60-70 for this project.
