A private garden on suburbs of České Budějovice underwent a successful reconstruction in the spring of 2021. The owners wished to spend more time in the garden all year round and to use the garden space for relaxation and active use. The garden is geometrically divided into several individual parts, which are divided from each other by greenery. In the main living area, near the terrace, there is a wooden bio-pool with a sauna. The other parts of the garden offer a cosy sitting area with a fireplace, a utility garden and other nooks. The greenery is made up of mature trees and is dominated by three multistemmed trees, Amelanchier lamarckii, which both complete and shade the central area around the biobath. Other trees in the garden are ornamental apple trees, Mulberry and other interesting shrubs. The undergrowth in the garden consists of richly flowering perennials that change throughout the year, as well as bulbs. Outdoor lighting gives the garden the opportunity to stand out even after dark, and a small artistic element is also worth mentioning, which highlights the aesthetic values of the space. The owners of the garden appreciate the mature greenery, which positively influences the microclimate and cools the house in summer.

This garden has been announced the 2022 Garden of the Year by the Association for the Establishment and Maintenance of Green Spaces in Czech republic.
