In 2013 and 2014, the garden of the National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen was fully redeveloped after a design by karres+brands. The garden has a very open and spacious layout with large, oval lawns. In between, space was cleared for groups of trees, a large, round, reflective pond and places where passers-by can relax. A selection of the species used, mostly clear stem as well as multi-stem trees are: Corylus colurna, Acer campestre, Acer rubrum, Robinia pseudoacacia, Quercus palustris and Syringa vulgaris (various cultivars).
