The station square in Bern, featuring the entrance to the railway station and the Citizens’ Hospital, was embellished with large magnolia trees. Magnolia kobus grows well as a clear stem and is also ideal for avenues and streets. The tree produces large, white flowers in spring and very unusual pinkish red fruits in autumn. The fruits are not very numerous and remain on the tree for a long time.
