Prunus x yedoensis 'Shidare-yoshino' is a fast growing decorative weeping form that is usually grafted on a stem. Height and width 2 - 3 m. The branches grow vertically downwards. The wide oval leaves are 6 - 12 cm long. They emerge green and remain so the entire summer. The autumn colour is yellow. Abundant flowers in early April. The opened flower buds are pale pink, almost white and smell of almonds. Flower diameter approx. 2 cm. No fruits. Suitable as an arbour tree. Winter hardiness zone: 6a
