'Starkrimson Delicious' is a medium-sized apple tree that grows moderately fast. The almost round crown is semi-open and will grow 6-8 m tall. Flowers open around the end of April. White-pink flower buds open from pink buds. The apples are ready for picking very late in the season and can be picked from mid-October onwards. They are medium-sized and distinctly broad-lanceolate and slightly irregular in shape. The apples are shiny deep red. The flesh is firm, juicy and sweet-smelling. The flavour is also sweet. 'Starkrimson Delicious' can be used as a hand apple and as a kitchen apple (dessert apple). The apples can be stored for about four months. Good for use in private gardens. Hardiness zone 6.
