The leaf stalk too, is red. The leaf itself is dark green and can be circa 10 cm. The orange-red autumn colouring can differ from year to year. A male variety without any flowers or fruits. Limy soil stunts the growth. No colouring in dry soils. Poor tolerance to (sea) wind. Winter hardiness zone: 4
