Acer platanoides ‘Princeton Gold’ is a remarkable Norway maple with striking golden-yellow foliage. The tree develops a broad, compact crown, reaching a height of approximately 10 to 12 meters. In early spring, before the leaves emerge, it produces small yellow-green flowers, followed by distinctive winged samaras later in the season. The smooth grey bark remains unblemished and is resistant to sunscald. With its dense branching structure, the tree forms a strong, well-shaped crown. This maple thrives in various soil types and tolerates temporary waterlogging and semi-paved surfaces. It is highly wind-resistant but less suited to coastal exposure. Thanks to its vibrant foliage and vigorous growth, it is widely used in avenues, parks, and landscaping projects where a striking colour accent is desired.
