In the east of the country, surrounding a beautifully renovated farmhouse, there lies a large landscaped garden. The garden’s designer opted for clear lines of sight, a symmetrical collection of ponds and conservatories. A few large oaks were of course allowed to remain in the grounds and at Van den Berk, even more inland oaks, limes, solitary Parrotias, swamp oaks and multi-stemmed Robinias were selected. For the ‘clouds’ of rhododendrons, we supplied plants from our own rhododendron nursery in Germany.
